Here are a  few links to the products I used.  The cupcake boxes and embellishments are from Wilton.  Although I make most of my cakes from scratch, when I'm in a rush I rely on Pillsbury pudding in the mix cakes.  This cake could make my grandma drool!  She was an awesome baker.

My cream cheese frosting is from Glorioustreats.  Gloria is such an inspiration to me.  I can't wait to try a few more of her recipes.



are you house proud...

As of late I have become a fan of the Nate Berkus Show.  It's not that I felt I wouldn't enjoy it,

quite the contrary, however I must record the show in order to view it. {that takes effort} {grin}

I most enjoy the segment he calls House Proud. I too am house proud, in love with my little ranch, and I plan to give you glimpses in the near future. 

But Nate Berkus has a photo on his website that is truly amazing! It caught my attention because I grew up with houses just like this is my area. I was always drawn to their little living rooms and interesting window placement. The only thing that keeps me from tackling a project like this is my lack of a wealthy uncle.  I have the ability and the drive!

I just had to share.....

I read that this house had been moved 3 times......someone finally saw it's potential and found an uncle.  Wowie!

My heart melts when I see such a project. Foxy, grand, alluring and charming comes to mind. {big smile}

in my dreams

I have been known to dream about new bedding and luxury linens.  Just ask my friends. They are accustomed to my cravings for beautiful colors and fine fabrics. It has been a while since I've thought about linens and then it happened. I found Bella Notte.

a thrilling experience

I giggled like a school girl when I came home and found my new "bestie" installed in my kitchen. Not to hurt the feelings of my old dishwasher company but this one makes the dishes squeaky clean. So Bosch and Langs, you're the best.  I love you. You make my heart sing.

My favorite dishes are spotless. At the risk of sounding like a paid advertisement I must say it has been quite some time since my favorite dishes have been this clean. I am so happy...... And while I am on the subject these are my special babies that I trust to this new Bosch. I love, love, love them.

a cupcake saturday

So it's "pajama day" (Saturday). My day begins with a little blog searching and Pinterest viewing. Little did I know that I would revisit my childhood in my head. I do a wonderful job of amuzing myself. I chuckle, ooo, aaahhh, and grin at the beutiful cupcakes here and the supplies for cupcakes here and here. So the cupcake recipe is on the first site and tomorrow my oven will fill my home with the sweet arroma of CAKE! I'll keep you posted. :)
